Packing lunch doesn't have to mean making the same sandwich day after day. This fun and flexible lunch box combines familiar favorites like crackers, cheese, deli meat, fresh fruit, and crunchy vegetables, with a little extra personality from fun-shaped ingredients and a favorite dip. It's an easy make-ahead option that can be prepped several days in advance, making busy mornings a whole lot smoother.

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices deli meat or 1 block cheese, cut into shapes
  • 8 whole grain crackers or mini rounds
  • 1 cup grapes, cut in half
  • 1 cup cucumber slices or baby carrots
  • ¼ cup hummus or ranch for dipping
  • Optional: a few pretzels or a small square of dark chocolate

Steps:

  1. Use kitchen scissors to cut deli meat and cheese into fun shapes (stars, strips, or simple squares — takes 30 seconds and makes a real difference for younger kids).
  2. Divide crackers, meat, cheese, fruit, and veggies into a divided container.
  3. Add a small dip container so nothing gets soggy.
  4. Refrigerate for up to 4 days, assembling 4-5 at a time on prep day.
